Lantokay

A very early name for what later became Leigh and, today, the town of Street in Somerset.

Last Drop

Found in several places in Britain, as a pub name it is easy to see why it is chosen as the drinks here are so good they will always be drunk to the last drop. However, the name may well have been inspired by a more macabre occasion, for many of these examples are near to where criminals were hanged.

Last Post

A public house in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, named because it had been the town’s main post office.
